A short introduction to the AutCorders #

AutCorders are little photo and audio recording devices that have been built to integrate into peoples daily practice as simply and unobtrusively as possible. Having nothing but a single shutter button, you point the device at something to remember and press the button to take a picture. If you keep the button held, it will start recording audio instead until the button is let go. Neither pictures or audio recordings are of particularly high quality (although they carry a certain lo-fi aesthetic), but are well sufficient for evoking memories and thoughts from when they were made. Depending on how you choose to configure the AutCorder, it can either function as a regular (offline) digital camera and audio recorder, or as a wifi connected device, capable of transcribing recordings and sending them to a Discord or Telegram chat.
